Aurefold and The Bell of Silence are written by me, Tobias Carneteg.

I could try to publish this book quietly and show you only the finished object. I'd rather do it in the open — share the road from a completed manuscript to a printed book, the good weeks and the slow ones, and let readers be part of it before the cover is even designed.

The Bell of Silence is a story about testimony: about a person who will say only what she knows, and a world that would rather settle the meaning of a silence than live with an open question. It's the kind of book I most want to read, so it's the kind of book I set out to write.
